Happy Bastille Day!

It is also Iraq's National Day. 

If you are in Sweden, today is also a holiday. Because a princess was born on this day. Eldest child of "Silvia". Though Jens says in the song that feminism is not something that suits her (Silvia). Her daughter is the first ever female heir apparent.  Blah. Just click the wiki link, I  could sponge facts from that page for ages.

Anyhow.. The other important thing about today and now..

This time last year. Fate stepped in and stole my Xbox and about 40 PC games. One week less a day later, fate returned to grab hold of 20 odd Xbox games. But fate made an error and left a fingerprint on my 1963 version of "The Haunting". Soon, the fingerprint was identified, and I could tell the police I knew no such person. They told me the name, and I looked it up in the white pages. And what Smith Road, of what seedy suburb do you think fate lived? Needless to say, I never saw my shit again, and the police have never gotten back to me about it.. Fate and my newly acquired insurance company ended up winning at the end of the day.

Though.. Upon looking back a world opened up as I spoke to my neighbours, pathways were spread wide.. To later be covered over. But wide enough, and big enough to fit through at that time. Only for that instant, that moment, that second. Otherwise it would have been a missed thing. So fate sometimes deals that rotten hand, but really it was more of a gentle nudge. To point me where it wanted me to go. So next time the shitty day comes, look for the good place it leads you.
